Fitting tires in Houma since

1977

Bailey's Tire Service has been fitting tires in Houma since 1977. That is not a round number picked for a website, it is the founding date the business itself puts on its own Facebook page, and it means the shop was already on its tenth year before most of the tire brands on the showroom wall today were household names.

The shop runs first come, first served. There is no appointment book and no service advisor standing between you and the person doing the work. You drive in during opening hours, get in the queue, and someone tells you straight what the car needs. That is how it has run for forty nine years, and it is still how it runs on a Thursday afternoon in 2026.

What sets the shop apart from a lot of tire fitters this size is the rack. The alignment equipment on the floor is Bailey's own: a Hunter drive-on rack with a Hunter road force balancer standing next to it, plus a Challenger Lifts two post lift for everything else that needs a car off the ground. A tire shop that owns its own alignment rack is doing more than selling tires, and that is why alignments is one of the words painted across the front of the building alongside brakes, shocks and C V shafts.

The work covers new tire sales and installation, tire repair with a TPMS relearn afterward, wheel alignment, chassis and steering inspection and repair, ABS sensor diagnosis, drivability diagnosis, suspension and brake work, and oil changes with the mileage counter reset before you drive off. The shop is also an authorised MotoFab Lifts dealer for levelling kits and wheel spacers, and it accepts Synchrony Car Care financing. Ask at the counter for the current terms.

None of that is guesswork about the business. It comes from the shop's own Google listing, its own Facebook page, and its own employment paperwork, which is where a list like this is written most honestly, because it is written for the next mechanic who has to actually do the work, not for a customer reading a website.

Bailey's is rated 4.3 out of 5 from 63 Google reviews, a live figure pulled straight from the listing rather than a number chosen to look good. It is open Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, closed Saturday and Sunday. A few directory sites still carry an old Saturday morning slot. It is out of date, and the shop would rather a customer knew that before making the drive.

Brakes. Shocks. Alignments. C V shafts.

For a very long time, the building itself was the whole advertisement. No radio spot, no billboard, just four words painted across the front and a shop that has been open the same hours ever since. This page is the same list, written down properly for the first time.

If you want the full list of what happens in the bay, from tire installation to oil changes, it is laid out service by service on the services page. If you want directions or the phone line, that is on contact.
